Hai welcome,
Assalamualaikum and hello. My name is Nur Farah Najihah Binti Zulfaqar .I am from Seri Kembangan, Selangor but I was born at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, at Kuala Lumpur. Currently, I have three siblings(including me).I went to School Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 9(2) and continued my high school education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 9(2) IBWS.Now, I'm just being one of the pra diploma in Business and Management(BA002) at UiTM Jengka Campus Students. One of the most important purposes I'm doing this blog is to share with students what I learn from seminar programs or well understand with easy skills.UED102 produces students with learning skills important for varsity life, which should be within each student.Topic of ued102
For the knowledge of students, this ued102 program seminar has seven topics but I only choose four topics to share with all students.
1)GETTING READY TO LEARN: GETTING MOTIVATED
2)TIME MANAGEMENT
3)CRITICAL THINKING: MEMORY & LEARNING IN IMPROVING CONCENTRATION
4)TAKING LECTURER NOTES
"GETTING READY TO LEARN:GETTING MOTIVATED"
On 15th October 2021, which is on Friday from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, I attended a seminar on the PPT program at Webex with Mrs. Normala Bt Ismail for an explanation on the topic "Getting Ready To Learn: Getting Motivated. Motivation can be described as something that motivated directs and bolster behavior toward a particular goal. Motivation has two types are intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.
INTRINSIC MOTIVATION is can be said to be an activity for the solution to take place rather than for separable interests.
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION is clarified as a motivation to conjoint in an activity guided on meeting an external goal, garnering praise and approval, winning a competition, or receiving an award or payment.
Then, I want to tell you factors that influence motivation have three:-
-goals
-self-efficacy
-effort
Firstly, I want to explain what is mastery goals? Mastery goals can be delineated as goals that focus on learning the material or on mastering new skills and help students persist even when the task is boring or difficult. And next is I want to explain performance goals; performance goals are goals that involve achieving good grades or gaining praise or recognition by outperforming others.
Second, is Self-efficacy is essentially the belief in your own ability to control your own behavior, emotions, and motivations. The last is effort. An effort is defined as the use of physical or mental energy, the act of trying to do something. A sample of effort is someone using their brain to make a perfect plan. An example of effort is writing a letter.
"TIME MANAGEMENT"
The next day, on Saturday 16th October 2021 from 11a.m to 12:30 p.m I listened to the second seminar entitled time management with Mrs.Normala Bt Ismail. Actually, I really like Mrs. Normala because she makes me understand how to manage time right away. Time management is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time between specific activities. Good time management capitated you to work smarter and not harder so that you get more done in less time, even when time is tight and push around is high failing to manage your time damages your effectiveness and causes stress.
Now, I want to share with you how to manage your time? Firstly, you have to keep a time log every day for one week and the second is to complete a prospective and retrospective calendar every day for one week. By the way, self-regulation strategies for overcoming procrastination are so important because can make one student stressed and lazy to do the assignment. Then, to solve this problem are students have to complete an assignment calendar and create a "To Do" list or schedule their personal tasks.
In conclusion, what I learn about this topic is time management is a very important skill to be learned and to be mastered in order to have a better lifestyle. By taking care of well time, you will no more suffer from stress, and your works will be done on time and in great condition.
"CRITICAL THINKING: MEMORY & LEARNING IN IMPROVING CONCENTRATION"
On Friday, 22th October 2021, from 5 p.m to 6:30 p.m I listened to the third seminar entitled critical thinking: memory & learning in improving concentration with sir Mohd Shamsuri b. Ghazali.
.Critical thinking is self-guided, self-disciplined thinking that tries to ascend to the highest quality level in a fairway. Therefore, students will be able to identify, think, reflect on and evaluate information to solve problems or make decisions.
Three parts of critical thinking are involved asking questions, involves trying to answer those questions by reasoning them out, and involve believing the results of your reasoning[and taking action based on that belief].
Five critical reading skills:
-Comprehension
-Application
-Analysis
-Synthesis
-Evaluation
Three reading/study systems:
-P2R
-SQ3R
-S-RUN-R
The P2R reading/study system:
-Preview

The SQ3R reading/study system:

-Review
The S-RUN-R reading/study system:

"TAKING LECTURER NOTES"
On Saturday, 23th October 2021, from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m I listened to the last seminar entitled taking lecturer notes with Mrs.Normala bt Ismail. Taking lecturer notes is important because promotes active listening provides an accurate record of information, helps you organize the information, and provides additional repetition. Characteristics of good lecture notes are content and organization. If you want to know, taking lecturer notes has three note-taking systems; informal outline, block method, and modified-block method.
How to edit your notes:-
-Fill in gaps
-Check for accuracy
-Clarify meaning
-Improve organization
-Develop recall questions
Three ways to review your notes:-
-Recite from the headings
-Recite from the recall questions
-Talk about the information with others
